The hardboiled_rpg mods appreciate players', readers', and potential players' questions and suggestions. We love getting feedback!

Here, players, readers, interested parties, and passers-by can leave feedback and con-crit for the mods. All comments will be screened, so please feel free to speak your mind.

Recently, the mods received feedback that some RP'ers were interested in the game until they learned that the fandoms involved were all anime/manga and/or video game.

Even before this, we'd been considering adding characters from Batman and/or Sin City, as both fandoms have a wide appeal and fit wonderfully in a dark, gritty, dirty, urban noir world.

As of August 5th, we've added select characters from Batman to Hard Boiled and are waiting for interest/feedback in regards to Sin City.

Based on the very complicated plot, we have no intention for HB to go pan-fandom or even beyond tetra-fandom anytime soon. That said, we'd love to hear whether people would be interested in Sin City characters, and would love to receive feedback regarding what other characters or fandoms you'd like to see added to Hard Boiled. Please keep in mind that shiny, happy fandoms could be difficult fit... If you're a pulp fiction/ film noir fan and would like to see more noir-esque fandoms or characters added to HB, please comment and tell us who, from where, and why.

And for those of you with a hankering to create original characters, please keep in mind that a cursory knowledge of Devil May Cry is all that's needed to create an original character from one of the demons/demon weapons. All of the scenes involving demon battles and demon weapons can be found via a link at hardboiled_ooc or via the magic of Google. The Hard Boiled Mods

Hello~

This is the Mod journal for hardboiled_rpg, a Bleach/ Batman/ Devil May Cry/ Eyeshield 21 AU RPG set in 1950's NYC and Atlantic City.

The atmosphere of Hard Boiled is dark and deadly urban fiction, with a film noir feel that incorporates action suspense, intrigue, moral ambiguity, violence, deception, and seduction. The Hard Boiled universe is inhabited by vigilantes, femme fatales, street thugs, made gangsters, hard boiled detectives, and other denizens of the big, bad city.

Members of Hard Boiled may play and write as a character from Bleach, Devil May Cry, or Eyeshield 21 in roles that run the gamut of criminals and gangsters, crime fighters, and everything in between. The medium to fast-paced, over-arching plot still allows for plenty
of personal plot development and individual character interactions.

This journal will not be updated regularly, as information for Hard Boiled members will be posted at hardboiled_ooc, while logs, storylines, and character dossiers will be posted at hardboiled_rpg.
